It keeps working because the new leaders are changing it up. Anderson and AJ didn't continue the Desrepectfuru Gaijin stuff that Devitt was doing, they went full NWO heel gang with it. And Kenny didn't continue that, he's doing WWF larger than life supervillain heel.

If they do the split they're teasing and it's Kenny and the Elite vs. Cody and the Club I don't see how the Club survives. Cody is great on the mic but he's not on the level of Devitt, AJ & Anderson or Omega.
