I thought Joe became a star after his 5 star match with Punk in 05. That's when I first heard of him anyway. Seems like that was all anyone was talking about on the internet for a while.

Sting was TNA's adopted resident legend. Spike TV agreed to pick up TNA Impact & agreed to fund part of Sting's deal if TNA could sign him. By TNA standards Sting alongside Kurt Angle & Samoa Joe was their biggest PPV draw. Sting was also TNA's go-to guy to pop a TV rating.

He was like TNA's Hulk Hogan. Got way overexposed and hogged the spotlight far too long.

Yeah the guy linked something but I for whatever reason didn't feel like posting it because it was a google link.
TNA gets so much shit but I liked a lot of it. I even ordered that Genesis between Samoa Joe and Angle. I hadn't ordered a ppv for years prior to that one. It is a shame to see how bad wrestling has been the past few years.
