>Worked himself into a shoot so hard he thinks he can force another Daniel Bryan situation with people like Bayley or Zayn.
Maybe if you'd done something worth agreeing with in the past three years...

The handling of AJ has been 'all right' for the most part and could've easily been worse given Vince's penchant for burying talent that weren't WWE made, but yeah other than that main roster booking has been pretty shit-tier all around.

*agrees to a suicide pact like the obedient E Drones that they are*

Even then, that's just AJ being so good that he forced them to elevate him.
Everything good about WWE has been strictly in-ring. They haven't elevated anybody purely with booking. Everybody who's over got there because of their in-ring talent or natural charisma, the promos and booking, at absolute best, didn't get in their way.
The ONLY exception is Braun Strowman.

When you're right you're right my man. You can point to damn near anybody on the main roster and you can pinpoint in someway or another how booking or the ever popular adage, "Creative has nothing for you" has screwed them or left them incapable of getting over to any reasonable degree, whether it's lack of exposure or absolutely shit material that's micromanaged to hell and back produced by failed Hollywood Z-list writers that they're forced to work with.
Neville's King of the Cruiserweights has been great, but again that's entirely on Neville and being given an opportunity to shine, and even that has a clear cap with the way the Cruiserweight division is treated as the 3 headed step child of the WWE, and there's a clear ceiling which Neville will eventually hit if he's not allowed to essentially 'graduate' to the other divisions.

Neville could've been an incredible high-flying underdog babyface, they refused to push him, he got left out in the cold, they turned him heel and he just went ahead and completely fucking reinvented himself and his moveset so he could work heel.
Dude is so stupidly good. Imagine what he could do if he had actual real booking momentum behind him.

I think he's gone above and beyond in proving he's reliable on the mic, and he was always proving he could go in the ring with the best of them since his NXT days, but muh height/Vince's Mighty Mouse obsession kept him from really being taken seriously. Still mark out and enjoy that short but sweet WWE title match he had with Seth on some random RAW where he was a split second from winning the title and the crowd was going ballistic.
They have some faith in him since he's been the only dominant/consistently booked champion the Cruiserweight division has had so far in its infancy, but that's like a Special Olympics medal given it's distinction and prestige is equal to toiler paper at this point with how few shits the general audience gives about them. Can only hope the true talents; Neville, Aries, Tozawa, Gallagher, TBK etc. are able to escape once they eventually decide to torpedo the whole thing due to their own ineptitude in getting these guys over by refusing to give them a resonable time slot for their main show, and by segregating them from the rest of the main roster and making look inferior in the process.
