I have to agree. This shit is so fucking overused. It doesnt help that the move itself doesnt even look that strong. The person literally gets catched most of the time and both people fall down safely. Its especially stupid if one person jumps at 2 or more persons, further weakening the impact to the point that its just embaressing to watch.

It's only cool if you do something over/off the top rope and make it look somewhat athletic, like Kalisto did in the preshow. When Dean dives under the top rope every fucking match and just gets caught i don't understand why it gets such a good reaction

Agreed. Say what you will about Roman, but the way leaps over the top rope is far more impressive.
