Who was the Jannetty?

Scott
Rick was smart enough to save his money so he can live a comfy life and run for office in his town. Scott meanwhile has to do local shows, conventions and other things to stay afloat.

In Rick's shoot interview he says Scott is "independently wealthy" and was very frugal on the road and saved/invested his money. He basically puts it across that Scott is very rich and never has to work again. Rick reiterated the same about year later in a another interview.
I think there is a mistaken notion that when talent get older & are working shitty indies they need money, when I think it's more of a case they enjoy and miss aspects of the business.

I wouldn't doubt it. People have to remember scott the character and scott the guy are different people. Close, but not quite the same dude.
I'm fairly certain Scott works small shows, etc. because he wants to, not out of necessity. His promos were hilarious because he never took the business too serious and was over the top absurd on purpose.
His math promo on Joe and Angle is something I listen to when I need to be cheered up.

It's that darn old wrestling bug, the good ones never get rid of it.
