What went right?
Goofy characters get over with the internet/young adult males
Too Cool, Slater & Rhyno, Breezano, 3MB, etc
He was the right gay guy in the right time
Ellsworth helped keep the Dean/AJ storyline fresh for a couple extra months. He was genuinely over and helped solidify Dean and AJ in their roles in the story by getting AJ booed, which was very, very difficult to do at the time. And even though Dean was using him, there were a few moments that showed Dean really did care about the guy, which solidified him as a babyface. The "Ellsworth has 3 wins on AJ Styles" storyline was great because the wins were obviously all total nonsense but having that in the record books badly hurt AJ's ego, which was the point.
There was even a moment or two there where you honestly wouldn't have minded if Ellsworth beat AJ for the title because it would've made for a crazy TV moment and then AJ would've gotten heat by absolutely murdering the guy in the rematch.
It went too far with the heel turn but up until then it was a very good storyline at a typically dead time of the year. And Ellsworth may just be a valet now, but, he's very good at it. So it's okay.

Are you trying to work me?

Relates to the audience
>>2710257
Shame he cannot transfer any heat to Carmella
>>2710195
No chin.
Literally why fans noticed him.
>>2710585
let me say it one more time, so you can completely understand
>>2710195
Good script.

I feel the heel turn was tastefully done. Ellsworth honestly starts to believe that AJ is much weaker than Ambrose so he interferes in their title match to help AJ retain. Instead of a long drawn out betrayal angle, we got 1 dirty deeds followed by AJ destroying Ellsworth. It was a pretty solid turn.

Shane likes to drone on about the Land of Opportunity slogan, and I can't fault him because of Ellsworth. Sure, Slater and fucking Breezango is now over, even fucking Jinder and Bray got the belt, but Ellsworth is the greatest success story out of SDL
I will remember this era of Smackdown with fond memories because an absolute loser like Ellsworth made it big in the big leagues
>that styles clash close call
AJ showed why hes the goat of all time then.

Indeed

Stephanie and Charlotte Flair.
I'm assuming Asuka is a heel too based on how much this board hates her.

Nailed it
Also, one of the best moment of the last year : https://youtu.be/4YE7THXCyD0?t=125

He's referencing Hogan's promo botch to Vince on Smackdown
>>2711434
Nobody has ever cared about Charlotte

Carmella's just missing a lot of pieces. She's got some interesting things about her, she can talk pretty well herself, she's got a cool finisher, the moonwalking is at least unique and her terrified mouse screaming is annoying in just the right way for a heel. But there's really not much to her in ring besides that.
She also needs new music. Naomi is a perfect example of how a great entrance can get you over, Carmella is like the exact opposite of that. The start of her entrance is an ambien pill in musical form.
>>2711561
You REALLY don't know how?
>>2711434
Steph does not count since she is management and not a wrestler
Asuka might be a heel or a face but noone can understand her promos so she is a tweener
>>2711558
Mella sounds like a JAV porn star getting fucked I hate it
>>2711561
You know how many necks the Styles Clash has broken? I wouldn't be surprised how much the agents hammer on him to keep watch for the shitters on their roster who tuck their chin.

When is the last time Styles did the clash? on Cena?
