Meltzer's the one seething because none of that is true and he knows it.

you know Dave is butthurt when he throws out "Loser." JR thought it was funny, and McMahon did the same thing.
>>
>>2710224
Just curious what was le meltz's reaction to the accession debut promo knocking the road warriors?
>>
Oh, now I know why the Russomarks here hate Dave so much, it's because he effortlessly exposes their messiah for the loser he is in the space of time it takes to make a single tweet.

According to WWE's profits in 2000 to now vs 1998/1999
>>
>>2710239
Wrestling stopped being cool in late 2000 though

It never got hotter than the 1998-1999 period
>>
Anyone who thinks Russo is solely responsible for the Attitude Era is a retard but anyone who thinks he had nothing to do with it or it happened in spite of him is a fucking idiot too and doesn't realize how much influence he had over the product from 1997-1999.
>>
>>2710245
2000 was WWE's highest ratings
>>
2000 and 2001 were fucking awful. 1999 was the peak. then you have 2002-2004 which is even fucking worse. what the fuck is this guy smoking

>2000 was awful

Bro, Dave's not an insider. He has no credentials. He's not an authority on any of this shit. The moron doesn't even understand how the business side of the industry works. He's constantly questioning things because he doesn't understand. All he has to fall back on, are the same things every outsider has, ratings numbers, and ticket sales, which don't explain it all.

He's a nobody bro, working the marks of markaritaville.

Believe it or not, there are some people who think almost everything WWE puts out is shit.

The only time the main event scene wasn't predictable, boring, lame, repetitive nonsense was the Rock swerve when he joined the corporation. And even that was a rethread of the screwjob, but it done nicely, but none other than Russo.
>>
>>2710313
You're an idiot who thinks they either mean everything or nothing. See, there is more to it than that, and you'll never get it but it's nice to know when people profess their stupidity right away. Makes it easier to troll them.

Fuck you pinhead. Continue getting your "info" from a fucking fraud like Meltzer, who only questions things and still doesn't have a clue. I can explain it to you, but it'd be a waste to try and teach a retard like you. Pay me to waste my time teaching a mongoloid not the drool.

You're just like CM Punk who couldn't understand how WWE was going to make money only charging 9.99 for things going for 40-50 on cable PPV. Fucking Mark.
>>
>>2710339
People still don't realize it.

Take a look at wwe's anuals. Revenues have almost doubled since the traditional ppv model in 2013.

They also have no idea WWE outsources the network.

you're asking that question cause you don't know the answer. revenues and profits are all going up every single year. educate yourself before you speak again
>>
>>2710348
this ponzi scheme/pyramid scheme is all going to come crashing down and HARD when sponsors figure out no one is watching the product. then theyre fucked and i will laugh with CM Punk at all of you. ratings are tanking every week and it will reach a point where ad revenue will completely dry up
>>
>>2710357
The sponsors are IN on the scheme. They aren't the pawns. They are the ones calling the shots, which is why they control the programming.
>>
>>2710339

You do realize that WWE is getting most if not all that $9.99 while the cable company takes half off the PPV.

So at $40 they would have to sell 500,000 ppvs (that's a lot for any non-wm) and they still wouldn't be making as much as they are now a month.
>>
>>2710366
Yeah, dumb ass. I'm not the one questioning it. I understand it, so I don't need YOU to explain it to me.
>>
>>2710363
why would the sponsors want they show to be so atrociously bad that there's a new record low every few weeks? why would they work against their own interests?
>>
>>2710371
What the hell makes you think they micromanage the WWE and get involved in the writing and push of wrestlers? They are only concerned with WWE's image so they can target a particular demographic of suckers, to extract the most amount of profits.
>>
>>2710398
well that number of marks who watch monday night bore is going down every week. so long profits!
>>
>>2710405
WWE doesn't care. The ad time has already been sold to USA based on sweeps weeks. Not yearly averages or ticket sales or anything else. Meanwhile, if WWE gets their 30% of their revenue from the TV deal, cut down to only 20% in 2019 because of ratings, it won't matter. They have so many different revenue streams, from their stock scam, from the ad time they sell for their OWN network, to merch, to tickets, to phony charity, to their youtube channel, and beyond, it's arguing over pennies. Especially since it's all free money. They use the revenue to pay their own salaries (which falls under "expenses"), and still show a profit to the clowns who buy their stock, who only care about growth, not the ratings. WWE doesn't need that to show growth. I can go on and on but it's just too much, and continues to be ignored, because it doesn't sound as dramatic and juicy to people like Meltzer, who love to cry WWE is dying and it's on it's last leg because of le ratings.

Why didn't Le Meltz answer the question? He could've just said No.

Let me break down the rest and what Meltz is gonna say to weasel his way out.
Its been 16-17 years since Russo has been gone so yes it's possible WWE has made more TOTAL revenue in those 16-17 years than the 4 years of the Attitude Era. and that's assuming that "best years" is referring to revenue.

Le Meltz also says the downward spiral was when Russo had power. He didn't say Russo was the cause of the downward spiral just that he had power DURING the downward spiral, so Le Meltz is right again.

It's clear that Le Meltz is hurting after being castrated by Big Ratings Russo every week.
>>
>>2710269
Because the second hour of Raw was unopposed every week you utter retard. Guess the WWE's gay little documentaries don't tell you that fact though.
>>
>>2710183

>>
>>2710554

Muh Work Rate Meltzer loved the matches but people were leaving around the time Stone Cold turned heel, the Rock feuded with Triple H, and WCW rejects started filtering into the WWF.
>>
>>2710267
No one is saying that. All the REEEEEing comes from people who dare suggest he actually helped it around the era where the most popular worked show was Jerry Springer.

>WWE's best years were after he was gone
>WCW spiraling down the down while he was there
DAVE "FAKE NEWS" Le MELTZ.

WWE reached their peak in 2000 rolling off the success of Russo established as head writer from 1997 to 1999. Of course Dave forgets to mention what happened the right in the middle 2000, ratings began to PLUMMENT AND FUCKING CRASH IN 2001 AFTER RUSSO LEFT. 2000 built the first half of its year's big success off the final storyline Vince Russo penned, WHO RAN OVER STEVE AUSTIN AT THE END OF 1999?

WCW, however, was already fucked Because they buried their top stars BEFORE RUSSO EVEN GOT THERE. Hogan buried Sting and Nash buried Goldberg. Vince Russo was literally pushing a boulder up a mountain by the time he got there. And he actually started to get their ratings moving up before he got sent home.

Dave has an IRRATIONAL hated for BIG RATINGS RUSSO.
>>
>>2710715
>Dave has an IRRATIONAL hated for BIG RATINGS RUSSO.
I kinda agree except the part where the hatred is irrational.
Russo IS a huge asshole
>>
>>2710726
Russo actually wants the shows to be entertaining

Meltzer wants three hours of faggots grappling each other to "four star matches"
>>
>>2710731
Yeah, and I support that philosophy, but what does that have to do with Russo himself being a huge asshole and kind of a faggot?

This is what draws RL heat and causes people to diminish his role.
>>
>>2710735
He tells it how it is whether people want to admit it or not. If you think that makes him an asshole, you may prefer cocks to pussy.
>>
>>2710736
No, he would be "telling it like it is" if he was actually right the majority of the time.

If this thread didn't red pill you on Meltzer, nothing will, you mark.

He's an outsider.
A fraud.
Fake news.
And his opinion is usually shit.
>>
>>2710663
Russo became head writer in early 1997 and Nitro ate RAW's lunch for the following year.
>>
>>2710689
Smackdown 6 Era is one of only a few times in the past 15 years ratings have actually gained.

>commenting about things you clearly didn't watch
>>
>>2710791
Like I already said, pinhead, the McMahon family salaries fall under expenses, before the revenue becomes profit for the share holders.

They are doing just fine making their millions, sitting around laughing at all the ribs, homo stuff, and fucking ring rats like the carnies they are.

>>2710715

even more evidence that the boom came from nWo and trickled over to WWE. Then WWE hiveminds tried to convert every casual and failed miserably once they saw the same thing happening every week for years.
>>
>>2710830
Yeah, the boom definitely started with nWo.

People are in denial however if they think Vince Russo wasn't an influential figure in the creation of the Attitude Era. He wasn't solely responsible but boy oh boy did he help.

It was a combination of:

Vince Russo
nWo influence
ECW influence
Austin's rise
Montreal Screwjob
