I guess I'm probably alone in this, but the original This Is Your Life didn't do anything for me back then, and I've felt it only gets so much praise because it happened during a ratings surge. Still, even if Rock and Foley had better timing (which they did, though Bliss is also doing great by herself) I fail to see how the rest of that segment would've been different today. Yeah a catfight is something we wouldn't see but how would that and a kick to the balls improve this crap in any way?

Bliss is not on the level of Dwayne and Foley in 1999, not even close. This is Your Life was stupid. It was stupid when The Rock did it again in 2004. It was stupider when Foley did it in 2011. And it was at it's stupidest and most bankrupt in 2017. What got it over in 1999 was it hadn't been done before, Foley and Dwayne were two of the greatest performers of all time, they'd been working as a hot tag-team, and it was allowed to be the crash tv it SHOULD be.
