The guys int he 60s literally just did fake wrestling holds and shit. None of this flippy shit and dives that end careers early, destroys people physically, and gets guys addicted to pills and booze to dull their constant pain. They also obv didn't work 5 matches a week like they do now. Also since it was regional back then they weren't travelling constantly.
He was a regional champion who couldn't draw outside of the northeast. No point in bringing him back as WWE is a national promotion now.
