This is where you are totally wrong. This isn't NJPW. The WWE title isn't about being good enough. Winning the world title in the WWE basically comes down to three things:
>being a draw
>being cozy with the boss
>being a long time employ and vet and being rewarded with a run

He had a great look no doubt, but was subpar in the ring and was not a great promo.

If a whole lot of things went differently then sure, why not. But as he was, nah.

He was unclear on the mic even for me as a Brit. He was a substance abuse liability. His gimmick was his nationality and his physique, and that's not enough to get over at the top. But he did look legit, and he added to the I belt, and was too good frankly for the Eurobelt.
