So, what are the easiest moves to master for a would-be bush-league wrestler? I mean, you've got the obvious ones, the armbar and the Camel Clutch, which any goober can do and make arguably-convincing. What else works?

that stupid shake rattle and roll punch Road Dogg did
Pop up powerbomb

Arguably TOO simple, but it works. I think the Argentine Powerbomb would work better in a small venue.
the spear
Right hand.

Well, one of the most devastating finishers in Japanese wrestling history is the lariat, AKA the LARIATOOOOOO!!! Just get a running start and swing your arm as hard as you can. Foolproof. Then there's strikes. Nobody falls for those stompy punches anymore. Throw some forearms and elbows. Top rope moves? Fist drop, double axe handle, elbow drop, knee drop. The classics. As for submissions, sleeper hold, full nelson, figure 4 leg lock, headlocks, hammer lock, ankle lock. You could also use heel tactics, since they're not too technical. Low blows, eye/back rakes, face wash, mudhole stomps in the corner, using the ropes etc.
Basically, just be a hoss.
So, so far I'm thinking:
>Elbow strikes
>Good Old Fashioned Dropkick
>Full nelson
>Figure 4
>Sleeper hold
>Spear
>Powerbomb variants
>Elbow drop
>Lariat
>Camel clutch
...fuck me sideways, if I can get an Enziguri working, I think I've got a full set of moves I can actually pull off.
So how hard is it to pull off a DDT?

Big boot
Stunner

OP here.
Thanks again. I've got a good list to work from in practice. If all goes well, I'll be on here in six months, telling you how it is working in the NWA.
If all doesn't go well I'll be on here in six months telling you how it is working at Impact.
