Compared to 70's - 90's stars Inoki, Fujinami, Choshu, Chono, Hashimoto Muto, Sasaki etc. Okada draws jack shit. Wrestling in japan isn't popular anymore - I think NJPW has 1 hour TV time slot at shitty hour. Attendance is an embarrassment now compared to glory days.

It was worse in the earl 2000s when Inoki went full "burn it down" mode. That and they only actually started telling actual sale numbers in the last 6 years. Tanahashi saved a dying company, Naito and Okada are doing well at keeping it afloat.

They sell almost everything out that isn't the dome.

And compared to Rikidozan, none of those guys drew jack. Wrestlig is a different business now, and for today's business in Japan, Naito and Okada are massive draws. Hell, compared to your list, Tana barely drew a dime, yet he's more or less singehandedly responsible for saving all of puro.
