Nitro looked and felt completely different from Raw from the very start and that was at the very middle of the 90s in 95. From July 96 onwards Nitro had a completely opposite tone altogether and had a mix of lucha libre, puro and southeren wrasslin all at the same time.

The difference was that the WCW was all redneck and southern and when they signed Hogan they tried to be like the WWF and came across as a knock off and like the snior circuit due to all the old timers they signed. The nWo made them different and better for a couple of years but they quickly went back to being knock off WWF

During the peak of the Monday Night Wars any idiot could tell that WWE had the superior story-telling and wrestling

While this is true, WCW was also always a very pro-wrestling fed while WWF has always been story time with your hosts, the mcmahon family. WWF always felt more scripted with more filler shit and less wrestling... and that's saying something considering over half of nitro was usually just NWO members gloating.
