Well Starrcade 97 did end up having the bigger buy rate, though Goldberg at that time was in direct competition with Austin as far as top guys go, whereas Sting was up against HBK. If Goldberg had fought Hogan at Starrcade 98 rather than on Nitro we would have been able to get a better comparison, that he was facing Hogan's WCW Janetty also didn't help.
