It's pure fun for anyone who enjoys more than just WWE in wrestling. You may be sceptical by it's looks at first, but you love it more and more as you learn the gameplay. Can't go wrong for $10.

New one coming out on Steam/PS4 sometime this year, keeping the graphics.

Believe me when I say this has a learning curve. Everything you learnt about wrestling games (WWE games) gets chucked the fuck out by a game that punishes button mashing.

You will see moves you have never seen before and be impressed by the logic, realism, and creativity the game has.

The funny thing for me is I was kind of done with wrestling.

Then 2010 came along and I ended up playing fire pro returns with a friend and was totally reminded why I liked wrestling to begin with.


It is such a great game it made me love the business again.

It's worse in every way. Gameplay is slower, fighting styles makes everyone feel like the same five guys, two entire sets of heavy grapples taken out and made UC grapples instead of just doing them by clicking L3 like 2007, no actual career mode, overall lack of polish potentially due to Benoit and needing to remove all mentions of him and his moves.

2008 stripped the series back to a point where it's only started to fully recover and start to feel like a cohesive, fun game again with 2k16.

Yeah, Mayhem 2 and the engine were re-worked into the original Def Jam, which eventually gave us that masterpiece. Seriously some of the most fun I've ever had with a fighting game.
