I agree with PG and Newtwork. It's also interesting because they were effectively the same basis. They werent against John, but moreso the idea of John and what he represents to wrasslin.
>>2597897
>HHH
>defining any era ever
it's austin-vince but whatever LMAO FAGGOT
>>2597897
The best Network era feud so far was Rollins vs. Ambrose. That feud went on for 3 years, had great promos from both guys, and had an excellent payoff.
>>2597897
>AE: HHH vs Rock

Rock vs Austin vs Vince defined AE

>>2597897
AE is Stone Cold vs Vince Mcmahon mate
>tfw Roman will never have a memorable feud because of his booking.
Network Era = Roman Reigns vs WWE fans
>AE: HHH v Rock
What the actual fuck, seriously?
>>2597897
Hi Hunter!
>HHH vs Rock
>not Austin vs McMahon
Come on.
Austin vs McMahon pretty much defines the entire WWE
Federation Era: Hogan vs Bobby the Brain
Occupation Era: Male Stripper vs
Attitude Era: Redneck version of Sandman vs Boss who refuses to fire him because of the HR nightmare it will cause
Brand Split Era: Benoit vs the Authorities
PG Era: Cena vs the Ratings
Brand Split Era 2 - Electric Boogaloo: Roman vs the remaining Smarks still left after the Cena fallout

This board can't get anymore shit.
>>2598052
But it wasn't. It was Hogan vs Bobby the Brain and whatever stooge he threw at Hulk.
>>2597897
AE is, obviously, Vince v Austin you mark.
Ruthless Aggression was JBL v Eddie, like it or not
>>2598093
Citation needed.

Hogan vs Savage drew the highest PPV buys of that era, was only eventually beaten by Mania 15. Would have drawn a huge crowd too if Vince didn't promise to hold Mania's 4 and 5 at Trump Plaza without realising how big the angle would become. It was also a great, year-long fued that was masterfully built up, rather than Andre randomly getting pissed that Hogan's trophy was bigger than his a few months prior to Mania 3. Vince revises history to make Andre/Hogan seem bigger in comparison to avoid giving credit to the guy who fucked his daughter.

Wasn't the feud more Piper vs MTV and eventually Mr T, whereas Hogan was primarily feuding with Orndorff?
>>2597897
Rock n' Wrestling: Hogan v Piper
Golden Era: Hogan v Macho Man
New Gen : Bret v Shawn
Attitude: Austin v Vince
Ruthless Agression: Brock v Angle
PG: Cena v Punk
Reality: Roman Reigns v the Marks
>>2597897
AE was Austin vs Vince, even if Rock vs Haitch was better
RA was Cena vs Orton vs Edge
CM Cuck and Cena may have been the best feud, but hardly defined the era.
Network Era is something that doesn't have Cena. Dude can't work the indie style.
>>2597897
>HHH...
God you are a dumb piece of a hit
AUSTIN / ROCK
>>2600276
>Reality
God I hate you all for using that term
>>2602018
Austin Rock wasn't as money as Austin Vince. He was a stooge of the Corporation, then in 2001 they were fantastic but they never got the mileage because Rock went to Hollywood and Austin turned. Great in ring however and a close second to Vince.
Golden Era: Hogan vs Andre
New Era: Bret and Shawn
Attitude: Austin and McMahon
Ruthless Aggression: HHH and HBK
PG: Cena vs Orton or Cena vs Punk
Reality/Network: Roman vs the Crowd
>>2597897
Network Era hasn't had a defining feud yet. Or at least not without the benefit of hindsight. The biggest draw of this era is Lesnar. By far. But he hasn't had a classic feud. His feud with Goldberg was pretty good but had very little wrestling. If it is indeed the defining feud of this era it will be ironic since this is the most wrestling focused era since the new era.
>>2597897
>AE: HHH v Rock
Hi Paul!!!!
>>2597897
Seriously anything other than Austin vs. McMahon for the AE is wrong.
>>2597897
OP you're wrong
RA: HHH vs EVERYBODY (Batista, Big Show, Eugene, you name it)
>>2602578
>lesnar

lol not after being banned from UFC
nobody gives a shit about him now compared to when he first came back
>>2597897
Golden Era: Hogan vs Savage (or almost every wrestlemania feud with Hogan)
New Generation Era: HBK vs Bret Hart
AE: Austin vs McMahon or Austin vs Rock
RA: Lesnar vs Angle or HBK vs HHH
PG: Cena vs Punk
Network Era: Roman vs Seth vs Dean
>>2597897
>Golden era: Hogan vs Savage
Uh, no. Hogan vs Andre. No contest.
>New era: Bret vs Shawn
Yes.
>AE: HHH v Rock
Austin vs Rock by a country mile.
Austin vs Vince by the circumference of the Earth.
>RA: Brock vs Kurt
Arguable.
>PG: Cena vs Phil
Arguable.
>Network era: Cena vs Styles
Not over. Too early to tell.
What differentiates "Network/Reality" from PG? Is the cutoff point just when HHH said that thing that one time? I'd say the PG era goes into "New Era" with the brand split, and that's way too soon to have a defining feud.

The launch of the network, the gradual decline of Cena as the top guy, Punk leaving, influx of NXT talent and The Shield splitting.
The cena era ended after the Brock squash
