How do you feel now /ourguy/ is kill?
literally who???
>>2574290
Memes aside, he would totally be /ourguy/ if you knew who he was
>>2574286
So much potential left on the table. Shame.
>>2574290
>haha I posted it again xDD

Sigh
He was going to win the IC title and maybe the HW if not for that dumb spot. I'll miss hearing the initial calm that set around the arena when his music hit.
Pretty depressing if he's really done. The headbutt wasn't worth it. I guess that's the inherent danger of working such a stiff style.

*headbutts u*
Fucking NJPW... I know everyone shit's on WWE, and how 'soft' wrestling is these days, but WWE would have known to not fucking allow that. That's such a dumb spot, and it wasn't even THAT cool. Wasted a great career for "OH man! What a Nasty headbutt..." reactions

Workrate kills.
I wanted Shibata to win the big one, it hurts
Could be worse. You could be a kenny fan, and you could have watched him lose his shot, only to become disliked by a large portion of /asp/
I didn't realize he was my favorite active in-ring performer until he was kill ;_;
If you're a Shibata fan, keep in mind he had a lot of really fucking good matches in the early 2000's that I recommend. Especially the match vs Jun Akiyama
I admit I just started watching NJ this year. I've only known he's existed for four months. So how is it that I can't watch a Shibata match anymore without getting sad?
desu i am sad as all get out. was my favorite wrestler.
Won't be missed except by ring rats and reddit.
>>2574471
Yeah, but that image when he looks down, then shakes his head, then looks up at the camera with the blood trickle coming down past his nose...
Has a genre like wrestling ever produced a moment with that kind of tragic beauty?
>>2574800
eff u, butthole.
>>2574811
Plenty of old WWE moments have in ways. The headbutt was real though, and gave him brain damage.
What's sad is if he had just had some water in his system the headbutt wouldn't have done as much internal damage.
so what actually happened?
how does a headbutt end a career?
>>2574815
I am fully aware of the implications of that headbutt. Those images are beautiful BECAUSE of the context. Not that anybody should be encouraged to repeat that kind of display, but the evocative nature of those images is something that can't be denied.
Remember: Beauty is merely that which provokes love.
>>2574834
funny you say that, i've never been on reddit in my life. i think you're just a faggot, mayne.
>>2574830
Headbutt caused a subdural hematoma(brain bleed). Pretty fucking dangerous thing to happen, and no one in good conscience would clear him to compete in fear of it happening again. And they shouldn't because he won't change how he wrestles and that's why it happened.
>Shibata ended his career to show us how to best the Rainmaker
I can't write this anime any better.

Greatest Of All Time
Somewhere I imagine Omega frantically scribbling down notes while the match was happening.
>>2574864
you need help. gotta check my low boil.
>start watching NJPW
>"Hey, this Shibata guy is pretty cool"
>this happens
>stop watching NJPW
>>2574864
literally cringed
Shibata RevPro stuff was one of the reasons I started watching NJPW this year. Become a big fan really quick and now this :(
This one hurts hard. Really wanted him to become champ.
