Well kind of.

There have been several stories about how he was an ass to a lot of the guys in the locker room in his early days. He said something to Elizabeth once which prompted Andre to speak up and essentially emasculate him in front of the entire roster. After that, he was the but of many jokes for years.

In his ECW and WCW years, he was a different person who was considered one of the nicest guys.

Met a bunch of wrestlers in a church wrestling promo thing in 2005. Sting was really nice, I was star struck by HBK but he said "you don't have to be nervous around the heart break kid" and was cool. Animal, Buff Bagwell, and Million Dollar man were ok but didn't say shit. Greg Valentine was charging for autographs when everyone else was doing it for free but he gave me a free one because he wasn't going to say no to some 11 year old at a church event but seemed pissed about it.
