Riding my skateboard in the public park at night, only decent guy around is an inline skater. Hell, one day I might even try it myself.

Stay strong, never let this thread die.

How'd you get introduced to rollerblading?
Mine was Jet Set Radio.
>>
thank you inline general
I tried getting back into skating a few months back and trying my hands at doing some tricks but damn near broke my wrist (was pretty funny looking back) but realized I didn't do that shit for a reason.
Any good options for someone who just likes to do some basic street skating with nothing fancy but catching speed?

Get some tri-skates or a flat setup with big wheels. Stick to easy grinds on low surfaces if you do want to do tricks ever and you basically can't hurt yourself too bad.

What are ye all skating?
Current setup is Nimh Shima V2s with remz 2016 liners and GC Formula 1 frames. bulky as shit. Just ordered a pair of Aeon 60s, so stoked to use them. was subject to the flat meme about a year ago when I got kaltiks with UC 60s. aeons h block's groove at least look to be [good] compared to kaltik's which literally reaches to the depths of the world.
>>
>>2565987

2016 K2 Unnaturals. Going to put 100mm wheels on them soon.
>>
>>2561998
Came across random videos of park blading a few years ago when i had cheap shit rec skates. Blew my mind. Then I bought my first aggressive skates. Was good at actually skating but was a pussy and never learned grinds.

Fast forward a few years playing JSR and it got me hyped to go blading again. Bought new skates (razors SL2 waikikis) and started learning grinds, airs, spins, grabs etc.
>>
>>2565987
Remz hr 1.2 , kizer fluid 3 frames and some shitty wheels. Need to change for something fresh maybe.
>>
as a skateboarder i despise fruitboots but its better than wrestlefags so have a bump and as many as you need
>>
>>2561998
My mom was a figure skater and then had to get her ankle fused due to a car accident. The only ice rink around closed down before I was born. Eventually, a roller rink opened up here so she taught me how to rollerblade.

I can't really find the time anymore due to school. I'll start up again during the summer.
>>
I found excellent condition, perfect fit rollerblades at goodwill this new year for $10. (Rollerblade Spark 84)
I love riding the beachfront but I confess that it looks lame until you get pretty good.
I can ride fine and T-stop alright, I am trying to learn jumping 180 to go backwards, and really want to learn powerslides to stop at high speeds.
>>
>>2566490

Knowing how to actually skate is the most important part.

I'm falling for the big wheel meme. Currently undecided between 72mm(aeons) or going all out at 80mm. I would like to still be able to grind and clear gaps so the aeons are looking better.
What do?
Pic unrelated, my yuri 2's during first session of the year last week.

meh. we'll see when it's released.
my biggest concern with it is that the animations will remain janky as fuck up to release. saw it being played at Winterclash couple of months ago, didn't queue up to try it myself. animation was ridiculously snappy even back then, worrying considering original release date was feb 2017 iirc.

might end up purchasing it regardless. time will tell.

mostly scooter riders. I've seen some guys do things on scooters that I was legit impressed by.
Unfortunately the majority of people who use scooters are either dumb kids or fags who use them as transport

Nice one anon, will include updated list in next OP as a pastebin.

curious because i'm starting to get the hang of topside tricks on coping - did any of you learn switch topside tricks on coping first?
Learned how to cheat a grabbed back torque not long ago and its actually helping me learn switch top porns on coping by locking back foot first. not ideal but good for overcoming the switch boogieman fear. can stall regular sweatys and fishbrains with some work

I'm barley starting learning basic stalls on coping, let alone topside tricks. Coping is scary shit in the concrete park that i usually go to. Though I've done a Sweatstance and X-grinds on it on my good days.

I inline skate for fitness and need to get new skates as I have outgrown my K2 Moto 84s. Want to move up to 100mm wheels. I am 6' and 200 lbs so I need the bigger wheels to get the speed I want.

Anyone recommend a long distance skate with 100mm wheels?
>>
>>2597911
If you happy with the K2s then move up to the K2 VO2 100 X Pro or SODO skates. If you are willing to step up to 110mm then theirs the K2 Mod 110 skate.

I've also heard good things about the SEBA GT 100 and Marathon 100.
>>
>>2599431
Also the Rollerblade MAXXUM 100 if the weight issue is of concern, it should hold up longer since its a hard-shell.
