The side-story during the PPV it was on was that Owen couldn't be found and Jim Cornette had to find Yoko a replacement partner so they got Davey Boy.
During the match, Owen appeared and tried to interfere but someone pinned him and somehow this stood and HBK/Diesel got the titles, although they were stripped of them on Raw the next night I believe.
