>This past week we were told that Reigns isn’t going anywhere and the key moves were said to be Styles to Raw and The New Day to Smackdown. The latter makes sense since the tag team division in Smackdown has been weak from day one. However, with Cena leaving for a while, moving Styles also, which is taking the two most over guys on that side off the table, makes no sense. Smackdown gave you the impression that Styles will be moving over. He wasn’t booked for any program going forward and settled his issue with Shane McMahon.

> The reason the original women’s storyline for this year, which was to culminate in Bayley beating Charlotte to win the four-way at Mania and take the title was changed to having Bayley win a TV match earlier was the feeling that they needed more ups and downs in the story to get from January to Mania so did the title change earlier.

> Plans right now on the house show circuit are, at least based on advertising, since the brand shuffling can change things at the top, are for Reigns vs. Strowman to continue to headline Raw house shows with Balor & Rollins vs. Joe & Owens. On the Smackdown side, it’s Orton vs. Wyatt as the key match, but since Orton doesn’t work a full house show schedule, they’ll be doing Wyatt vs. Harper vs. Styles as the main events on non-Orton shows. Of course this will likely change quickly.

> DDP did an interview and noted it was WWE that chose Bischoff to induct him. He said that he would have wanted Dusty Rhodes to do so, but since Dusty passed away, he listed five people, Jake Roberts, Scott Hall, Bischoff, Austin and Foley and the company went with Bischoff. It’s notable that Angle also wanted Austin to do so but they went with Cena. Austin was not in Orlando all weekend. From what we understand, although nothing has been said about it, the contract with Austin and WWE for putting regular podcasts on the network has expired. People have asked about it since the one he did with Ambrose, which got a lot of negative reviews. The Austin podcasts at first were the highest rated shows on the network other than the PPV shows. They went with Jericho at one time after there was an issue with WWE and Austin, but then went back to Austin, and then to JBL, and even though the JBL shows were good, for whatever reason, the company made the decision not to do them.

The only problem with that statement is that no casual fan wants a nearly seven-hour show and most people like that who only watch on occasion have other lives and seven hours watching a sporting event is too much for those people.

> Nikki Bella is done for a while. She said that she’s not retired, but is taking time off to heal up from neck problems. She was apparently too ambitious coming back from her neck surgery and ended up injured again.

The standard NFL contract doesn’t allow players to engage in any activity that involves a significant risk of injury. A lot of teams have used that to keep players not doing things such as pro wrestling, most notably when TNA signed up Pacman Jones and ended up not being able to have him do any body contact in his matches.

> TNA has inked new television deal with GameTV in Canada to air the show on Thu at 8 p.m. That’s notable because Anthem’s own, The Fight Network, airs the show at the same time. Game TV is in 9.5 million homes in Canada which has more reach than Fight Network, which is a subscription channel. Impact was the second highest rated show on Fight Network behind UFC shows.

He’s having his hip replacement surgery on 4/19. He did a surprise walk-on for Jim Ross talk show the day of Mania where he contacted Ross the day of the event and asked if he could come down.

> For the biggest week of the year on the network, the top rated shows had some surprises. The top ten, in order, were: 1. WrestleMania main show; 2. WrestleMania pre-game show; 3. WWE 24: Mania Monday; 4. NXT Takeover Orlando; 5. WWE Hall of Fame; 6. Raw Talk (Goldberg post-show interview); 7. Ride Along with Gallows, Anderson & R-Truth; 8. WWE 24 Mania Dallas; 9. Ride Along with Zayn, Neville and Rollins; 10. Takeover pre-show. The keys to the list are the two docs and the two Ride Alongs doing so well in such a busy week. Also notable is that the regular Wednesday night NXT show, 205 Live and Talking Smack all failed to break into even the top 20 shows for the week.
