Reigns vs. Taker was the main event.
So why did they have this bland guy who always phones it in win the royal rumble exactly? Did they not know that Taker was gonna retire? Taker needed that Rumble win more than Blandy and it would have actually made sense since winner of the rumble main events mania, but in this case the rumble winner was the 3rd match from the end.
Does it even matter anymore? WWE is getting progressively worse by the years
>win the rumble to main event Mania
>win a match against Styles to main event Mania
>don't actually main event Mania
I really wish WWE wasn't so full of plot holes at all times.
His match was hilarious. Ol Bray was reallygiving it his all but Orton couldnt give a fuck

You're actually assuming that the WWE puts any amount of planning into is matches more than about a month in advance. I remember a time when Wrestlemania would be the culmination of long term well built feuds, instead of matches that are chucked together a month before.

I don't need to assume cause when I used to watch a long time ago stuff like this used to matter.
As well as the 30 day defense rule. If today they can't even implement one of the most important rules ie Rumble winner main events Mania, then what are they allowed to get away with?

To be fair Orton vs Bray storyline started pretty much at the start of the brand split, which was months ago. The end however makes absolutely no sense with Randy winning.
Brock vs Goldberg has a few months too.
Triple H vs Seth, pretty much the same.
Problem is those storylines aren't interesting at all
