Miz has one of the most important talents in WWE. Namely the ability to be *actually* funny and creative in his promos. Add to that a total understanding of what it is to play a crowd and inhabit his heel persona and the fact that he's not spectacular in the ring is not really as important.

I despised The Miz back when he first gained traction. I stand by my opinion that he did not deserve his spot. But now? He has improved leaps and bounds and matured to a respectable performer if just passable ring worker. I no longer despise him and actually appreciate him now.
