The broken gimmick will stop being enjoyable because WWE will over produce it like they always do. Matt will be stuck doing an impersonation of what he was doing in Impact, because the writers have no idea what made that gimmick so great. They'll just trot out the catchphrases, put them in a spot fest TLC match, and split them up. Then Jeff will no show a PPV after getting methed out and that'll be the end of that.
