The whole match was so poorly done, its almost sad. Especially considering how good the buildup and storyline was.

This match could have really benefitted from better commentating. JR exclaiming "Oh my gawd king, what the hell is that!" while Lawler reacts in visible disgust. I guess ambiance is the word I'm looking for, and I sure as hell didn't feel it watching at home.

It was a critical failure of storytelling.

What SHOULD have happened to make it work, would be establishing in the go-home Smackdown that despite all his bravado and backstabbing, Randy is struggling with visions of maggots and rot, because of the time he spent under Bray's corrupting influence, but he's trying to shake it off.

THEN when Bray uses his wizard powers to summon visions of icky stuff, it would be appropriate for Randy to freak out over it and let Bray get the upper hand on the match.
