the old one was unique and looked like a fucking championship. the strap itself looked like an old boxing belt or something, the giant X being the whole face plate made it actually look like the crown of the promotion. the new one looks like a rejected x division design.

The original belt was trash. New one is loads better.

No it doesn't. That was the whole problem.
It looked like a big logo and felt cheap.

Original NXT belt looked like ass and like it would dig into you like original Winged Eagle.

All three titles were massively upgraded. The old ones were cheap and simple. That was fine for the early developmental but NXT is doing shows in big arenas with major names on it now, it needs some actually expensive looking belts.
