I don't really know what advice to give. I think there are just some people who will never be even mediocre at skating. I guess just make sure you're having fun and don't worry about your bad tricks.

OP here, yes, Tony Hawk died today at the age of 48.
let me quote:
>Tony Hawk died today at the age of 48. The legendary "birdman" began his career as a young teenager in the early '80s with sponsorship from Variflex. He then went to professional status in Powell-Peralta, under the wing of Stacy Peralta and the Bones Brigade. He gained worldwide fame through the X-Games and his own brand of skateboarding themed video games in the late 90s. The exact conditions of his death are as of yet undisclosed. Hawk is survived by his wife Cindy and son Riley-Hudson"

How does the guy on the left do that revert at 0:25 ? He doesn't crouch at all. Is it because of smooth ground + hard wheels?
>>2448952
>smooth ground
that and he's slightly pressing on the tail
very little weight on the front
>>2448565
I'm about the same level as you except I got my kickflips down again, keep at it mate. I also took about a 10 year break so I feel you.

Go for a nose shuvit, arguably easier than an ollie.
Ollie everything, Ollie hard.
I bought a brand new pair of nike's yesterday, payed $130 AUD for a pair of shoes so I hope they fucking last.
Today I landed some pop-shuv sex changes. Made my day.

That and it's only a manual revert, which is more of a sharp kickturn than a slide.
Start the rotation from your head, shoulders, then hips and feet.
Commit and LOOK in the direction you want spin.
You will most likely need to exaggerate that crouch and spring move when learning reverts. You can shed unnecessary movements later.

that's not how you should be thinking.
you can kickflip right now and you know it. The goal should be to get it consistently by the end of this summer. But don't neglect other tricks nor going all out whenever you feel like it.

>I hope they fucking last.
they never do, lol
>>2449911
>I bought a brand new pair of nike's

Just started skateboarding! I feel kinda self-concious going out in public, but besides that, do you guys have any helpful tips for someone completely new? Thank you!
