Granted some of the rapier oriented SCA are well regarded. Give a sport fencer a smallsword (a giant murder spike), or a real dueling sabre to the sabreurs, and I'd be scared as shit.

HEMA is amazing, but I feel like we need more higher-level fencing and grappling to show people what we got. And not people specializing in just one weapon set. Let's actually follow the zettel and wrestle well, fence well with the sword, the spear, the messer and the knife.
