It's a winning formula for a multi million dollar empire. The end.
I can't believe people still watch WWE when there is a wealth of better pro wrestling out there.
>>2415258
These are all such little nit-picky rules and by-laws that make Vince look like an autist obsessed with dumb fixations, he is 100% for sure on the spectrum.
None of these things are problems by themselves, but when you do them all together you come off as a creepy fucking robot.
>>2415273
Because nobody, like me, wants to go LOOK for inferior wrestling products. At the end of the day, everybody gravitates back to the WWE
>>2415258
Literally who defends this?
>>2415281
Jesus, it's his company and he wants the image a certain way. You sound like somebody who would quit his job whenever the boss would impose rules.
>>2415306
I do, because it's successful business model.
>>2415314
Go watch your hanna barbera wwe cartoon you fucking wwebabby
How does the kool aid taste btw?
>>2415314
I can understand no inside terms. The rest of it's stupid and makes things less organic.
>>2415321
I'll drink the WWE koolaid over the independent wrestling tap water any day. I have better things to do than watch third rate wrestling like ROH and NJPW

I will. No need to be a bitter indie mark. Must suck to be you choosing being autistic than getting laid
>>2415354
>implying he had a choise.
>>2415311
>You sound like somebody who would quit his job whenever the boss would impose rules.
If the boss was an obsessive compulsive man-child that treated me like total shit and constantly enforced dumb policies I probably would yeah.
>>2415373
Silly mark.
>>2415334
Shit, its literally from the front page of SquaredCircle. Now we know where all these obese smarks are flooding in from

What the fuck is wrong with Vince?
>>2415381
It's almost as if if some random guy typed this and decided to work the maarks who live online.....
I see the point, Vince doesn't want his product to look cheap, that's why they use glorified words to make everything look bigger than it is, with that been said it must be a pain in the ass for superstars to work in so much restriction, which makes for a generic product.
>>2415258
>don't say the title is on the line

BLOWN AWAY BY THE GENIUS OF THIS.

>SquaredCircle
Eww, gross.
>>2415379
>Having a discussion =/= SEETHING
Pleb.
>>2415396
These things are not about the image of the company (mostly) so much as they're about clarity of communication.
The existence of a belt is not important to the story of whatever, KO vs Rollins. At a superbowl they're not fighting for a ring, they're fighting for the right to be champion. The ring is a prize they get for winning.
The business could be anything, it's not distinct language. Etc.
>>2415258
No wonder they are trying 2 push mauro out he broke every rule in this fucking list
>>2415258
I've said it before, but Vince's whole philosophy is that he doesn't want wrestling to be wrestling. He's far more focused on the entertainment.
The thing is he was right. He was the first wrestling promoter to emphasize storylines over in ring action, and it eventually lead to his empire becoming a multi billion dollar business.
Now every promotion out there tries to ape Vince's formula while telling everyone how out of touch he is.
TL;DR: Vince is the most successful wrestling promoter of all time by a loooonnnggg margin. Smarks don't know what the fuck they're talking about.
"These fans are really marking out! While these 2 wrestlers are at war. Who will walk away with the strap? What a preformance!"
>Did I get the job?
Wow what a great and new image you have posted here that I have never seen before and is relevant in 2017, haha good work anonymous.
>>2415258
I'm not saying Michael Cole would be JR if not for this......but honestly THIS is why Cole has sucked on Raw for years now
People forget he was a competent commentator on Smackdown under Heyman's tutelage
>>2415303
>At the end of the day, everybody gravitates back to the WWE

>>2415263
>when you realise lolWWE has been shit for well over 10 years
>>2415258
There's like two or three of those that could be debated, and all of them are nitpicks. That said, if your boss says you should follow those guidelines, you follow those guidelines.
>>2415380
Every fucking thread in this shithole is at least tangentially related to reddit.
The entire BBDWTS thing in this place would never exist if Reddit like Reigns.

Kek
>>2415387
Really activates the almonds.
This is just Vince being ashamed of wrassling and its carny roots, but it always has come off as forced and try hard
Vince really is autistic.
>>2415258

wow! i hate wwe!
you fucking smarks are so pathetic

It's like companies aren't supposed to have any protocol.
I understand not using insider terms but the rest genuinely baffles me. Not to mention stupid in ring rules

Heyman & Cole would do re-takes on his commentary and overdub flubbed lines in post.
Maggle is shit. Even his work outside the usual WWE bounds (Beast in The East / UK Tournament) he's still not good.
>>2415414
Imagine being this much of an underage mark raised on WWE Home Video.
>>2415621
At this point it's over 15.
>>2415258
This just makes me think how WWE is a victim of its own success. I mean, it's great for family entertainment and all that, but it really is no longer pro wrestling. It's been ground down and polished into a formulaic circus.
I wish it could return to 2003 levels, when it was still the only game in town and the production values, etc were top notch, but it wasn't all about the sponsors and the stock and the suits. The product is so watered down that despite being so shiny and expensive and colorful, it's hardly recognizable anymore.
>>2417556
>2003
>good
>>2415258
>don't use the word "interesting"
don't worry Vinny Mac
>"we don't have belts/titles, we have championships. Talk about what they mean and why they're a big deal."
This is actually sensible. The problem is they don't do that shit either way. The commentators give us zero reason to give a shit about the belts/titles/championships
>>2417526
>Heyman & Cole would do re-takes on his commentary and overdub flubbed lines in post
He did this for both Cole and Tazz, who were both still somewhat greenish on commentary and heeded extra coaching. Cole had 3 years as a regular play-by-play while Tazz only did color for over a year
And don't forget: there's no post-production for live PPVs, which Cole and Tazz did as well
Heyman himself was the one who pushed for Cole and Tazz to call the Summerslam main event Rock vs Brock, when Vince wanted JR and Lawler to do it. Heyman had enough faith in them to put his neck on the line, for them to close a big match at the end of a major PPV
>>2417573
You must have only been watching Raw that year. Raw did indeed suck that year.
On the other hand, 2003 was arguably the greatest year in the history of Smackdown.
>>2418424
That was more like 2002 post-Draft.
>>2418437
It was still good in 2003. The decline didn't start happening until around 2004-2006ish. We've long since passed the point of no return though.
>>2418510
The injuries to Edge + Angle really did a number on the roster.
