her saying "ember who?" was literally a better line than anyone on the main roster has said backstage or otherwise that isn't semi shoot or had the word bitch in it to get a pop in months. She does fine if she doesn't have to go on a 5 minute speech or some shit but like you said it's not like that matters when no one else in the division can do that. In fact, Bliss is so overrated purely because only she can do that competently and express emotion easy which is something Asuka can do. 1 out of 2 is still better than the 0 out of 2 most of the current roster has.

She also is a much better wrestler which makes a difference especially among women's wrestlers. Even in the 80s and 90s women's wrestlers who were good got over simply by being good while surrounded by trash.

Asuka was immediately the number 2 female on NXT after her first match. Nobody except Bayley and Sasha have been more over

Bayley works if she's booked right, like, her entire character is tailor made to deal with awkward scripts because her being an unsure of herself stuttering mess of a mark that can't compete with the confident "real" wrestlers is her character and therefore she should be able to stutter her way through promos and still be fine. This is why people used to say she was pretty much bullet proof. WWE still somehow fucked this up.

The problem is the writing sucks and wwe babyfaces are expected to be cocky little dickheads so her talking any amount of shit or her trying to defend herself or be confident doesn't work because it doesn't feel earned like it did when she finally got the belt on nxt after ages of being shitted on by the heel until she eventually tried standing up for herself.

WWE has literally ran into this wall for the past 3 years trying to make ramen the top babyface. Trying to fit everything into one mold will literally never work.

Asuka at least in real life is an egotistical cocky cunt so she fits wwe babyface/heel nicely and convincingly.

What you haven't understood about that - she is the champ, so she doesn't need to grind out in gym, she just lays around and sunbathes.

And regarding her future on main roster - her pop at MSG was big, not the biggest, but big. Let her debut with NXT belt on RAW/SDL after Mania and you have new upper tier woman wrestler.

And then let the Woman tourney planned in May or June be for the number one contendership at NXT or for the belt itself.
