This seems like the right place. Anyone play pool at an above-casual level? What's your game and what kind of cue do you shoot with? I play mostly 9 ball but I have a soft spot for the old games like 14.1, one pocket, and 15 ball rotation.
I shoot McDermott g-core with a Kamui black super soft tip (left). Break cue is a McDermott stinger jump/break with the phenolic tip removed in favor of a Samsara j/b (right).
Snooker is ok too, I guess.

I play stripes and solids at Poolhalls and get drunk and take one of the sticks they have there and hit balls in holes. Why on earth would someone take pool so seriously?

Well I work in a pool hall and I play in leagues and go to tournaments and shit. It's become my favorite hobby over vidya.
