Kawada was superior. Everything Misawa could do Kawada did a little better; including NOT relying on head drops and dangerous spots to have good matches unlike Misawa. Yes he still did those things because it was expected, but he knew how to work a match without them and still making it exciting.

Only reason Misawa is considered the best Pillar is because of booking. He was booked as the Ace for years and the other Pillars were kept firmly underneath him for just as long.
