2005 Angle. Cena beat JBL at wrestlemania and changed the belt to the spinner to match his hip hop fuck rules persona. Old school JBL kept the old belt out of disgust and kept calling himself the real champion. Judgement day had an "I quit" unification match of sorts. Of course only BMJ was champ, but winner got to decide the belt going forward.

Yeah, cena had the spinner US belt but lost it to Orlando, who was in JBL's stable. JBL said he was going to repeat what happened and reinstate the old belt after beating Cena, but cena won and officially retired the belt.

If you haven't watched 2005 Judgement day, go watch the main event. The two destroy each other, might be in the top three WWF/E bloodiest matches, up there with JBL/Guerrero.
