Does CM Punk have any chance of redeeming himself in the octagon?

Not unless he seriously dedicated himself to training and went through a series of lesser guys to make it to the top again. In all honesty he just didn't (and in all honesty probably still doesn't) want it bad enough. If he did he would have trained harder.

well sadly, since he fought as a pro, he can't fight as an amateur to get a better sense of sport and get experience from it, so he'll have to train and spar harder than everyone in his camp if he even thinks of fighting in the cage again.

Dude's no spring chicken. Most of the guys who are in the pros, like Mickey for example, are much younger and/or have a lot more experience and training than him. Even the jobbers in UFC busted their asses to get there. Punk would be a geriatric before he's trained enough to really compete.

anyone the UFC could bring in that could be even remotely credible would BHTFO. They don't want to bring in a complete can because it would devalue the rest of the UFC. If punk beat him, punk would get BTFO by his next opponent. If his opponent beat him, his opponent would get BTFO by his next opponent.

Anyone that is even remotely worthy of being in the UFC is already so far ahead of punk in at least one aspect of the sport (wrestling, BJJ, striking, etc.) that he would have no chance of increasing any of his own skills enough to beat them.
