Was he ever a true main event star?
He's the GOAT B+ player, not even using it as an insult. Never the guy, but he's filled his role well and always adjusted to the times
No.

He will be remembered as a main eventer even though he was in the midcard longer
I definitely thinks he's in talks as one of the goats but no he was never really main eventer.
he has IT
Brief period in 08/09
what do you think mark?

that's a pretty big accomplishment desu
both titles had a shit ton of prestige
>>2283137
He never got to hold the WWE belt again because that run was such a failure

>Third wheel behind Gaytch Stephanie and a dog
>main event got outshined huge
hm..
Jericho has always been an Upper Midcarder. But he was truly a great wrestler.
Jericho is a great wrestler, he has had many memorable moments, and good at his craft.
But he was always like the cool supporting character and not the main man.
Although he did get a few shots to see if he could make it to main event.

actually to add to this, if Jericho was an actor he would be a character actor, the one guy who you recognize and is really fucking good but rarely is ever the main character
He will go down as the GOAT of manlet wrestlers.
His billed height is 6', so deduct 2" right there. I know for a fact that he wears lifts, so that's at least another 2" there. He is no taller than 5'8" IRL.

No but it's ok I don't think he really wanted it
I can't believe this guy is 47 years old.
>>2283020
His size held him back. He's better on the mic than 99% of the roster and could put on good matches, but could never a Rock or Austin.
He had GOAT main event runs, but he was always consistently a really over upper mid card guy.
Nothing wrong with that.

i am stupid

I seriously can't think of any other wrestler that has mantained himself up there with so much consistency, dignity and always coming with ways to reinvent himself
he seriously needs one last true main consagratory event before he retires.

agreed. it's kinda scary that Jericho is way better than anyone else on the mic in RAW or Smackdown, the new generation of wrestlers really need to get better on that department.
he was just unlucky his prime happened at the same time as Austin/Rock was around
