That was better than the new one, the self advertising wasn't as blatant and the WWE logo was smaller so it appeared a little more appealing because there was more going on in the front plate, not just a WWE logo.

You could also read the name of the title and not hidden under the small border, and the overall design wasn't made in mspaint like the current title.

In 2002 do you think Triple H chose to have Big Gold as the RAW belt (i.e. his), or did he have to settle for it because Vince wanted Brock to be the company flagship with the company flagship belt.

When I was watching it at the time, I always thought it was second-best but I grew up a WWF babby and had never seen WCW, let alone known about proper wrestling history and the history of that belt. So now I'm thinking what if he chose it, as a notch on his legacy - like, he'd already held the WWF title, but he wanted iconic images of having Big Gold too?

But then again if that was the case, why did egomaniac Austin never try to hold the belt?
