No . Roman is damaged goods at this point. The only way to save him is to revamp his character.

What even is his character besides he used to be in SHIELD? It seems like 1 week hes a silent badass, the next hes a jokester and the next he's this anti authority figure. His character literally changes based on what mood the writers are in.

Simple answer, no, because Cena came up in an era where you weren't as scripted and Roman is in a completely scripted era.

Until that changes, he doesn't stand a chance, nobody does. Nobody gets over on TV right now, but Roman just gets more and more under every week. Vince thinks he can force him on fans but really, he can't.

Roman doesn't have the natural charisma or in-ring talent to be a top guy and you can book around that (look at, say, Strowman) but Vince chooses not to and just keeps going straight ahead with the shitty version we have now.

It kinda sucks for Roman because he does have a lot of talent and he looks like a fucking badass. He's being really badly squandered. Kind of a shame.
