Wrestling crowds suck in general now, and it is definitely amplified in places like Full Sail, where you can hear everyone. It used to be that smarks only made up part of the crowd in NY Chicago and Philly, now it has grown to the point that every WWE audience is nothing but smarks and children. This can only be attributed to the growth of the IWC and I honestly believe Reddit had a lot to do with that. Everyone in the crowd believes they are an insider, which somehow makes them cool, and they have to prove it to everyone else.

Compare this to crowds of the Attitude Era, which were mostly full of people that did not know or care about what dirtsheets said. They attended because they liked the actual show. Sure, everyone tried to get their signs noticed, but nobody ever tried to disrupt the show and get the attention on themselves with any "clever" chants. Or the few that tried were never successful, because the rest of the crowd was too busy enjoying the show to give a shit about some gay chant.

Crowd reactions were more natural back then, like chanting "Ass-hole" when Vince and HHH talked, or the face's name during a match. Or simply cheering when something cool happened instead of the crowd needing to divert the attention from the wrestlers to themselves. I'm just glad no one chanted "This is awesome!" when Stone Cold drove that beer truck out.
