What they SHOULD have done is blow it off in a 1v1 match on the undercard of Mania, when it was probably the hottest feud in the company, instead of burying it to a minor spot in the Jobber Derby.

Mizdow should have won, won the rights to being Miz, and quickly became a total, egotistical prat just like Miz used to be, acting like a big star and everything.

Miz should have had to go by his "real" name, which would be something silly like Mitch Figbottom or Mike Mizanin or some such. Have everyone dump on Former Miz for a month as he mopes about before he resolves to rebuild himself and climb up the card and kick Mizdow's now insufferable ass onto his head.

Have it lead to a Name vs Contract match at MITB or some PPV right before Summerslam where the Miz name is on the line and Former Miz's contract. Obviously Miz wins, gets his name back, and cuts a promo that starts off as some face-like waxing about coming back from his lowest moment, and ends with him declaring himself the greatest wrestling star ever, putting on his douchebag sunglasses, and walking away, having not learned a single fucking thing.

Easy undercard angle to kill some time on RAW and open PPVs.

Before they debuted the New Day, Xavier Woods was doing these weird promos backstage looking like he was recruiting black guys. A Nation 2.0 would have been cool, but what I think what would have been really cool was if they played up Woods having a doctorate in psychology. Playing him as a master manipulator heel who gets into opponents' heads would have been cool. Especially if he was eventually pitted against Bray and his cult leader shtick.
