I know you maybe don't get that, but we do chant for whole 90 minutes of the match. And I can tell you - players are glad we do that, anytime you ask any of them in the pub, they will tell you: just please be as loud as you can as long as you can, we will be better for it.

CWC's problem was interjecting the belt as a prize, which then forces them to thrust a babyface champion into the mix in-front of a wider audience and say "you must care about him, he's your champion."
Ideally, they should have revealed the tournament be for number one contendership against another person who had earned it on Raw, perhaps during it's own mini-tournament.
But, that's too much for gaytch to grasp.

Fair enough. TJ Perkins was a really odd choice to win the CWC in every respect other than he had signed with them. It shows it's still shitty WWE booking. You gave it to the boring face with no interesting factors. I was hoping for a gritty outcome where the heel with crowd support was gonna take the title leading to the weekly show where they try to take it off him.

But I do agree putting it on bates lets them diversify their roster's popularity. This week has mostly been people spouting dunne was a shoe in.

They build Pete Dunn to be a heel in spite of his pops at the start of the Day 1. And they did it because they build matches with Tyler in them to make him great babyface. And they changed Dunn to be real heel, so his opposing babyface will get monster pop when it ends.

And giving it to Bate was basically playing to the crowd - if they won't make it weekly show, but only something not really regular, they needed to have "good ending". So it was perfect booking.

They made Tyler Bate to be over with intended audience and they made Dunn to be a real star.
