WWE has this misconception that people want to watch wrestling related content 24/7. Hence their writers are giving 20% of effort to main storylines. NXT is pure cancer

4 Things -

1. Roman is not even the face of WWE officially to put the blame on him.

2. Lesnar deserves much bigger blame than anyone in the active roster or the part timers for that matter.

3. Roman did bump the rating big time when he first won the title, an enormous increase of over 27% in viewership was brought on by Roman's WWE title win. No one else was able to achieve that in the last 6 years, the only one who did is th Rock in 2011 who returned after 8 years of absence from WWE to a viewership increase of 28%. This interest and momentum of Roman however was not sustained due to WWE's inability effectively their talents in a proper long term capacity and other such incompetent creative problems within the company. Unfortunate events such as Roman's injury, wellness policy violation also did not help in the matter.

4. Do note that Roman is still very popular with the casuals, his videos on youtube are the most watched by far, and he commands a humongous 16.4 million followers on facebook, which is only the third biggest next to Rock and John Cena who are considered icons in terms of casual popularity. Roman still remains the only active talent on the roster to have managed to attract casual interest, while the rest have only managed to attract predominantly smarks fanbase.

WWE is using data science, it was a meme /bex/ had done last year but it has actually become a reality. TV ratings don't matter, what matters is how they collect data. One of their primary sources will be the Network, they will monitor every activity you do and accumulate data. They can then take that information and use Artificial Intelligence to book matches or write storylines. Secondly they can just take two different segments of data and compare it for example "whats popular in pro wrestling" vs "what's popular in mainstream"

They need atleast 5 years of data though, and to be more accurate 10 years. It's called Big Data

Reins has to of grown on me. Why a heel turn hasn't happened shows that the elevator no longer goes to the top floor with "creative", which has gotten way out of hand.
