In all seriousness with TNA, past all of the hate for it for what has happened (or simply because it's TNA), I think this is something that may spark a giant turnaround for the company.

When your product runs cold, it's almost impossible to heat it back up. WWE's product usually ranges from lukewarm to mildly hot so they're never really needing to take risks. TNA on the other hand is ice cold. When's the last time they filled an arena? And I don't mean a sound stage but an actual arena, more than 5K people? Maybe ten years ago.

Dixie Carter, as no secret, is absolute cancer for the wrestling business. I think everyone, TNA fan or not, would agree her resignation is about the best thing to happen to TNA management-wise in... well, ever. And I think, IF the company really starts taking risks, while putting the straps on people that actually would carry weight as the champions and make the belts matter (nobody cares about Eddie Edwards, people), then the company has a shot at bouncing back.

They had something good for the first time in years (I'd say since Roode was world champion) with "Broken" Matt Hardy, and yet they managed to completely overdo it with the exposure of the character, which ironically became popular by being so bad that it's comically good while most of TNA is just bad.

I'm hoping Anthem starts allowing this company to turn a profit for once, which isn't going to be easy. I was a loyal TNA fan for years but even I questioned how a company that has lost so much money continued to be in business. I'd not be surprised if they're in the hole a hundred million at this point. It's very sad to see what once was the hottest televised American wrestling program (not in terms of ratings but in the product on air) now be a shell of a shell of a shell of it's former self. NXT is what TNA was supposed to be, and NXT is run by TNA's own competitor that has like a 95% market share.

Maybe I'm too hopeful but I sincerely hope they get back to where they were.

He has a great look, can wrestle well, knows how to cut a promo, and had an epic entrance theme at the time. Albeit not the best a wrestler could be by any means, when you're surrounded by mediocrity and you're the only thing shining (dimly), it's easy to look really good at that point in time.

Also I'm a bit biased, loving the upper-class, suit-wearing, snarky heel gimmick. Ted Dibiase, Bobby Roode, Triple H circa 2003-2005, you name it.

When I say "surrounded" I don't mean already established stars. Aries wasn't mediocre, nor was Styles, Angle, etc. But the only thing remotely interesting at the time was Roode and his ongoing reign as champion after crushing the unity between him and James Storm, who formed the best TNA original tag team in history. Even having Hogan and the likes conspiring to stop him as champion and all that, was good stuff. The storyline was interesting, no other storylines at the time were, even while involving great talent.
