Roman is alright but he's not amazing. I'd say he's like 2003 Batista level right now (probably better in ring though). However it's definitely true he's far from being complete shit and only draws that level of heat because he is not an indy/smark darling and is hated for being the company's designated Man. On the flipside he doesn't have the either the charisma or storytelling abilities of the Cena/Bryan/Punk trifecta so it's not hard to see why people feel he doesn't deserve the top spot over someone like Kevin Owens.

It's not as black and white as "Roman sucks/Let's go Roman". The issue is more complicated.
