Yeah, this seems to be WWE's new approach, and it's actually a smart one business wise. They are the biggest wrestling business in the world, even with dwindling viewer numbers. So to use that name and presence to push WWE branded territories everywhere means they can effectively crush any opposition before it ever begins. It also means that there is possibility of many of these off shoot territories gaining traction and becoming popular in said countries, which would mean they are not as reliant on just solely the American market.

If WWE are the only game in town, then viewership numbers need never be a problem again.
