Why is PWG so much more entertaining to watch compared to WWE? it has the production values of backyard wrestling and still somehow manages to be better
Because it's supposed to be fun and about giving fans what they want

so WWE is supposed to be painful and hard to watch?
>>2036186
I don't get why they don't up the production in terms of filming a bit. The tickets are extortionate and the dvds are too. They mostly just book American indie guys with some exceptions. Where does all the money go? How big is super dragons crack and hooker mansion?

It tries too hard to tell certian storylines, that often are too stupid/convulted for people to actually get into. The fact that we see the same matches repeated quite often doesn't help too, it just gets boring.

Also too many matches are way overscripted with spots, so when something goes wrong in a spot wrestlers often don't know what to do and go on to repeat it, which usually makes it look even more fake (duh) and overally poor.
The fact that many wrestlers have a very similar moveset doesn't help.

A lot of it has to do with Venue, part of the appeal of PWG is you are right there next to the action if you watch the show people have to get up and move out of the way when they do a jump out of the ring spot. In addition you can't really fit a jib or hard camera in their bingo hall like rooms
Picture of Lucha Underground's temple for context
bc pwg doesn't give a fuck, its literally just suppose to be fun to watch

How many people actually are buying for their DVDs instead of just watching clips from YouTube?
