As someone who recently got into WWE wrestling, I notice the cruiser weight classics and NXT are consistently rated very high, while RAW/SD and main roster PPVs get 5-6s. I also hear NXT has someof the best tag teams in the world right now.
Are these true?

NXT is partially still loving off hype; Takeover's are good to watch, but the weekly show is quite boring.
NXT has Revival, who are very arguably the best team in the world right now, and D.I.Y, who aren't far behind. Not much else now, though.

I think the wwe might have something against wrestling barefoot. They had Rusev change to boots after wrestling barefoot for months and Asuka who was barefoot everywhere outside of the wwe was made to wear boots.
