Why would you build your company around a guy with a broken neck?
you have to be 18+
BROKEN FREAKIN NECK
They had 10 or 15 main event caliber guys that could step in anytime
Because flippy shit doesn't draw

How good of a wrestler was he?
>>1991635
wrestled in the best wwe of all time at WM 13
so pretty good i guess
Because he drew so many $$$ that he's still living comfortably off royalties from T-shirts he sold in 1998.

Pretty good despite his limited move set.
>>1991635
3 moves so hes shit

Was just listening to his interview on the Stone Cold podcast and he said he had four broken necks in the span of two years, not including the one he had when winning the gold.

Even post-neck he was a Helluva worker, because he knew how to have an exciting match despite his physical limitations.

>broken neck vs broken back: the match
What a fucking shame. Look at KOTR 97 for what could have been.

He was surprisingly good in-ring...as a heel. In 1997 he did good moves and could hang with Bret. 1998-99, as the top babyface he had completely awful matches. Maybe it was Vince's direction, maybe it was opponents he didn't have good in-ring chemistry with (Rock, Mankind, Undertaker), maybe both, but all his matches then were shitty brawlfests with JR screaming bah gawd.
In 2001 as a heel again he started putting on good matches again with good moves. Suplexes, submission holds. Could hang with the likes of Benoit, Jericho and Angle.
Coincidence?
