In todays market UFC is hot WWE is not. WWE makes money hand over fist but that is 100% because of quantity of programming over quality. Sure WWE can make bigger stars than Conor or Ronda but they will not in today's landscape especially when Interest is at a 20 year low for the WWE product. Look at what is appealing about Conor and Ronda compared to any WWE superstar. Conor and Ronda sport badass attitudes, are dominant athletes that have edge and cool factor. They dont have that Austin or Rock type presence on their show

It's not even the record-padding, it's the constant avoiding of major threats to said padded records and both sides and the myriad of major promotions making arranging good fights difficult.
