Why are there no Gimmicks in todays Wrestling

Am i the only one who misses gimmicks in wrestling, it seems that the only people with proper gimmicks are the midcard of NXT or low card on the main roster and the main eventer are just bland vanilla midgets

Roman, Seth, Rollins, Finn, AJ, Cena, Rusev, The Wyatt Family, The Usos, etc.

The cruiserweight division is the problem, they dont have a fucking gimmick, only Kendrick and Metalik.
