Looking for more patient, counter-based fighting styles for shortswords in larping. almost everyone in my group is hyper aggressive and i want something to practice with. i fight against Sword/Shield, dual knives, Dual axes, axe/sword, and polearms mainly. also left handed, if that makes any difference.

Pic related, My sword. 32" Total, 26 of which is blade.

I'm not sure what you're expecting OP if you want to learn how to swordfight find a HEMA club or a Chinese broadsword Kung Fu club.

Filipino martial arts can be quick to get the basics of and actually quite easy to train alone. Stickfighting will translate best to you penchant for dual knives and axes and for short swords.
